the project
Our recent web development project started with a simple concept: an author’s website. However, it quickly evolved into a dynamic portal for pricing strategy and articles related to the book “Game Changer” by Jean-Manuel Izaret(JMI), Head of Pricing and Marketing division at BCG. This transformation required us to implement several complex features to handle a growing number of posts and articles as well as the complexities of the pricing strategy.
BCG – Boston Consulting Group is a global consulting firm that partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. The firm works with businesses of all sizes across a wide range of industries.
JMI is leading the pricing strategy and marketing team, and has over 20 years of experience in the field. JMI has worked with some of the world’s largest and most successful companies, helping them to achieve significant improvements in their profitability.
JMI’s pricing strategy team also monitors the progress of its clients’ pricing strategies and makes recommendations for adjustments as needed. This ensures that clients are always using the most effective pricing strategy for their products and services.

The challenge
One of the key challenges for us was managing a large volume of articles. To address this, the articles were divided into three broad areas:
Each area contains multiple categories that can be easily added or removed by the user. This soft-coded approach allows for flexibility and scalability as the website grows.
We also customized the post-creation process. Now, users can select a category for each of the three areas when creating a new post. Based on these selections, the post will automatically appear on the appropriate page for that area → category. This automated system ensures that content is well-organized and easily accessible to visitors.
Each category page features a dynamic insight section that displays the latest related articles. This feature keeps content fresh and engaging, encouraging users to explore different categories and stay up-to-date on the latest insights.
The most interesting part of the project was the Games area. JMI designed a unique hexagon representation with seven distinct categories: Cost, Uniform, Value, Power, Dynamic, Choice, Custom.

This visually appealing design makes it easy for users to navigate the different game-related content.
Here we took care to show the user which pricing strategy article they are reading.
This project demonstrates the power of flexible and scalable web development in WordPress. What started as a simple author’s site transformed into a complex and dynamic portal that effectively serves its purpose.
